Coast-to-Coast Opened In 1955

North Manchester's Coast to Coast Store was opened in North Manchester Jan. 1, 1955 by Bill and Dorothy Moore.

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, the Moores came to North Manchester from Mt. Carroll, Ill., where they had operated a Coast to Coast Store for five years.

The Moores operated the store as husband and wife until July 1, 1972 when Roger and Judy Moore became partners in the family business.

Coast to Coast offers a wide variety of hardware items for home, business and farm shoppers.

Mowers, bicycles, auto parts, kitchen aids, tools are only a few items offered.

Brand names stocked include Scotts, Ortho and Black and Decker.
